The Intajat Jadida project’s closing workshop in Tunis was attended by some 20 content creators from Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco and Libya.

In Cameroon, the Talk Peace project’s closing conference was attended by professionals from media outlets in Cameroon who had been trained in the past two years to produce objective, fact-checked, inclusive news reports.

For the first time, CFI organised a forum in Central Asia, in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), attended by 150 journalists from the region, to discuss disinformation issues.

A conference organised as part of the PAMT2 project was attended by journalists from pure-player online media outlets in Tunisia.

During the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, CFI set up a pop-up newsroom for 15 sports journalists from Sub-Saharan Africa to cover the event.

During the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games, another pop-up newsroom was set up for eight sports journalists from the Middle East and North Africa to cover the event.

CFI, SINGA, the Maison des journalistes and Reporters Without Borders launched Voices in Exile, a Paris-based project to support journalists in exile.

For the Francophonie summit, CFI and the state school of journalism in Tours (EPJT) joined forces to set up a pop-up newsroom for some 30 students from seven French-speaking countries at the Centquatre-Paris arts centre.

Nearly 170 people signed up for CFI’s first online meet-up on media development expertise “Les Rendez-vous de l’Expertise MédiaDev”, aiming to promote gender equality in media outlets.

CFI launched the Infolisango project, with EU funding to help produce and broadcast well-balanced news reports by media outlets, the civil society and young people in Congo.
